We all have difficulty times in our lives, it’s how we deal with them that defines who we are as people.
Facing up to the effects or impact of our own actions and decisions is probably one of the toughest things to do.
I personally have never been afraid to “own my own shit”, I just wish others would face facts and do the same without needing to be constantly reminded on a somewhat ridiculous basis.
Responsiblity is not an easy lesson to learn or teach. Some people, no matter how much they claim to adhere to this ideal, will never understand it or make the changes required to truly embrace it.
I only hope that by setting a good example I can help inspire other’s to improve themselves and the lives of all those they engage with. It’s hard to start with but really worth the effort and highly likely to pay dividends too all involved in the long run.
It’s also important to understand when you personally fall short of your own standards and take ownership of the steps required to remedy the situation.
If you create shit, you need to take ownership of it and proactively make your life and those around you better.
We all make mistakes, that’s what makes us all human. Fixing the issues may feel like nailing jelly to the wall sometimes, but it amazing what you can achieve when you put your mind to it.
I personally find it easier if you leave the wrapper on the packs of jelly and use lots of good quality nails with a reasonable sized hammer.
