Watching Others Having Sex?

Laptop sex and watching other people have sex

Here’s an interesting question worth a few words, do you like watching other people having sex?

Personally I’d put myself firmly in the “YES” camp, but I guess that is also dependent on what form it takes.

There is something really quite erotic about watch someone you love having sex, I wouldn’t necessarily calling compersion, but something similar.

I wonder if there’s a similar word like compersion that can be used to define the inverse of lust? If not, perhaps there should be. This may well be the challenge of the week for me.

Any suggestions welcome πŸ™‚

The inspiration for this post was the quote below and associated blog post.

β€œI really don’t like the sight of people having sex”, said a friend who was over for dinner last night. Β We were talking about both rom/com movies and the study I blogged on yesterday,Β about porn viewing.

  1. I’ve been in the presence of people having sex, and it is quite erotic, naturally. And sometimes, it doesn’t do anything, and seems surprisingly normal. I guess it depends on the environment and mood and the people you are watching. As for the inverse of lust…well, “disgust” comes to mind and it rhymes…(as I did just there). πŸ™‚

  2. Love watching people have sex, especially if it’s my partner with someone else. Not as turned on by being watched fucking but am turned on by being watched/lusted after while dancing, stripping, flirting, etc.

  3. Yes, I read your question as asking what is the opposite of lust. And yes, compersion does cover a fair amount of those feelings, but I see what you’re saying. If I think of something I’ll let you know. πŸ˜‰ Maybe it’s time to create a new word?
